Visa letters and timeline

• -Register and pay the deposit; we issue a signed invitation letter within 48 hours
• -The letter confirms program dates, housing, tuition paid and campus address for a B-2 visitor visa application
• -Book your consular appointment as early as possible - wait times vary widely by country
• -We recommend starting the visa process at least 90 days before arrival
• -If a visa is denied, the full amount paid including the deposit is refunded on submission of the denial notice

Guardianship documentation

• -A notarized parental consent and temporary custodianship form is required for every unaccompanied student under 18
• -CATS provides the template with your confirmation packet; return it at least 14 days before arrival
• -For minors travelling alone, airlines usually require an unaccompanied minor form naming the receiving adult - we supply staff names and contact details in advance
• -Copies of the student's passport and visa page are held securely on file for the duration of the session

Airport pickup and travel

• -CATS staff meet students at Boston Logan International Airport (BOS), a short drive from campus
• -Send flight details at least 10 days before arrival so we can staff the meeting point
• -Unaccompanied minor handovers are handled by named staff at the gate or arrivals desk
• -Return drop-off is scheduled with residential staff at the end of the session
• -Arrivals outside standard windows can be accommodated with advance notice

Language support

• -Coaching and instruction are delivered in English, with ESL-friendly pacing in every program
• -Multilingual staff and students across the residential community
• -Written schedules, packing lists and parent communications available on request
• -Optional English enrichment sessions through the Academics & Leadership track

Life on campus

• -Shared residence hall rooms assigned by age and gender, with 24/7 residential staff
• -Three meals daily with international and dietary-specific options
• -Weekend Boston excursions and evening campus programming
• -Weekly laundry service, and parent updates across time zones

Before you book

• -Travel medical insurance is required for all international students
• -Complete the health and immunization forms on our Health & Safety page before arrival
• -Travel insurance covering cancellation is strongly recommended
