Refund tiers by days before arrival

• -45+ days before the session start date: full refund of all amounts paid, including the deposit
• -30 to 44 days: full refund of tuition paid; the deposit converts to a credit valid for 12 months
• -15 to 29 days: 50% refund of tuition paid; the deposit is non-refundable
• -14 days or fewer: no refund; a one-time transfer to another 2027 week may be requested subject to availability
• -After the session begins: no refund for late arrival, early departure or unused days

Medical exceptions

If a student cannot attend or must leave early for a documented medical reason, CATS refunds the unused portion of tuition on receipt of a physician's note, less a $150 administrative fee. Requests must be submitted within 14 days of the missed session.

Visa denial

International families whose student is denied a visa receive a full refund, including the deposit, on submission of the official denial notice.

Weather and emergency policy

• -Programming continues in most weather; activities move indoors when conditions require it
• -If CATS cancels a full day of programming, families receive a pro-rated credit for that day
• -If CATS cancels an entire session for weather, campus emergency, public-health order or other event outside our control, families choose a full refund or a credit toward a future session
• -CATS is not responsible for family travel costs, airfare or lodging in any cancellation scenario; travel insurance is recommended

Multi-week and Family plan handling

• -Cancelling one week of a multi-week booking recalculates the multi-week discount on the remaining weeks; the difference is deducted from the refund
• -Family multi-week plans covering multiple students are refunded per student using the tiers above
• -Withdrawing a student from a Family plan may reduce the plan discount for remaining students
• -Institute + Academy Pathway fees are refundable up to 45 days out; after that they convert to an Academy admissions credit

Transfers and substitutions

• -One free transfer between weeks or programs is permitted up to 30 days before arrival, subject to availability and any rate difference
• -Transfers inside 30 days carry a $100 change fee
• -A reserved place may be transferred to a sibling at no cost at any time before arrival

Dismissal

No refund is issued when a student is dismissed for conduct reasons. Travel arrangements home are the family's responsibility.

How to request a refund

• -Email ianderson@catsboston.com with the student name, program, week and reason
• -Attach supporting documentation for medical or visa exceptions
• -We confirm receipt within 2 business days and process approved refunds within 10 business days to the original payment method
